OPTAIN Continental Regional Dialogues

You are invited to join the OPTAIN Continental Regional Dialogues, taking place online on 23 April at 15:30 CET as part of the ICPDR Expert Group meeting.

This 90-minute session will present key highlights from the Horizon 2020 OPTAIN project, “Optimal strategies to retain and re-use water and nutrients in small agricultural catchments across different soil-climatic regions in Europe.”

The session will focus on the potential of Natural/Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRMs) as effective and sustainable solutions for managing water and nutrients in agricultural landscapes. Participants will hear case study findings from Europe, receive practical guidance on how to position and select NSWRMs, and engage in policy discussions addressing the enabling conditions for implementation.

Whether you are a policymaker, practitioner, or researcher, the session offers valuable insights into both the practical and strategic dimensions of NSWRMs.
